I'm a Mormon. . . .

Well my last post was a little intro of who I am and I left a part out.

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, aka a Mormon. I guess I didn't feel the need to share that in my last post because my religion is not really my main focus on this blog. But, after thinking about it, I've decided to share because my faith and what I believe is a huge part of who I am. It will come out in my posts and the things that I share with you all I'm sure.

Today, for instance, is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Semi-Annual General Conference. It happens twice a year, the first weekend of April and October. It is a chance for us to hear from our Prophet, Apostles, General Authorities and other leaders in the church. I LOVE conference time. I love hearing from our leaders and their messages from our Heavenly Father. I love hearing the music. I love feeling the spirit that comes with conference.

I'm especially excited about conference today and tomorrow. This is because I am in a much better place mentally, emotionally, and especially spiritually than I have been in a long time. I was suffering for a long time in these areas. Now, that I'm in a better place, I can more fully feel and listen to the Spirit and have my heart more open to the wonderful messages of our leaders.

I believe in God the Father, in his Son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I know that I am a daughter of God and that I am of infinite worth. I know that Christ's Atonement is real, that He suffered, gave His life, and lives again so that I may live. Christ's Atonement is for EVERYONE! Christ is there for us. No matter the pain, grief, sorrow, or sin He knows what we are going through and He wants to relieve us of that burden. He has taken all those things upon Himself so that we can have joy and return again to our Father in Heaven. He loves you and cares about all of you.

I hope that I show others the love that Christ shows me. Please, even if you don't believe in God, Jesus, religion in general, please show love and compassion to others, serve others, be good to your fellow man. EVERYONE is of infinite worth, and EVERYONE deserves to be treated that way.
